Computer Crime Concerns Campus Police
The University Police at California State University, Sacramento are warning the campus community about the possibility of computer theft.
Over the past two weeks, thieves have removed computer parts from the desktop towers at student labs in two area community colleges. In those cases, the parts were removed from the computers during normal business hours and in full view of service counters of the labs.
The CSUS campus police are asking the campus community to be alert to the heightened possibility of this type of crime. Anyone noticing suspicious activity, such as someone opening a CPU case in a lab, should notify campus police immediately.
