Ethnic entrees and entertainment from across the globe will be featured at the third annual "Taste the World" event, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, May 11 at California State University, Sacramento.
The event provides campus cultural and religious organizations a chance to share their beliefs, traditions and menus with the community. At the same time, "Taste the World" encourages cultural understanding.
Food booths and exhibits will be in the Main Quad. Entertainment and additional exhibits will be in the University Union Ballroom. Food prices will vary and the entertainment is free.
The University is home to 53 student cultural and religious groups. Cultural groups include Movimiento Estudiantial Chicano de Aztlan, Lao Student Association, the Native American Indian Alliance and the Italian Club. Religious organizations include the Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship, Hillel Jewish Student Union and the Muslim Student Association.
