Why I'm Involved with C2S

I know how hard it is to be a student and at times, we doubt what we're capable of. I want to empower students by teaching them to learn and grow from their mistakes. Succeeding and graduating can be a collaborative effort and there is no shame in that.

Why I'm Involved with C2S

Because I wanted to help my fellow peers successfully complete their classes and graduate on time by sharing my experiences. I believe that every student has the ability to pass their classes with the necessary resources that Commit to Study can provide.

Why I'm Involved with C2S

I want students to know that they're not alone while navigating college. As long as they are open to seeking help, they will receive it. Learning and having a growth mindset can help them achieve whatever they wish to achieve. Lastly, I believe that weak study skills have the potential to become strong study skills. I want to help students cultivate those weak study skills into strong ones.

Advice for Students

"Remember this will all pay off. Picture what you want the end of your college journey to look like. Then work hard to paint that picture. Keep in mind that the path to success is not a vector. It's tangled and complex but most importantly, it is your path. So it is supposed to be different.

My Long Term Goals

To become an optometrist conducting free eye clinics around the world and make an impact in research. Also, I hope to seek adventures and eat french fries because I LOVE french fries.

Biological Sciences with a Concentration in Biomedical Sciences, Minors in Chemistry and Psychology (Graduated Spring 2017)

Why I'm Involved with C2S

This program gives students the ability to engage with others that have taken the difficult courses that are to come, all while balancing the extracurriculars and have succeeded. When I started with this academic journey I wish I had someone there, speaking from personal experience, helping me navigate my courses and academic decisions.

Advice for Students

Don't ever let any other students, professors, courses or exams define who you are. You will have difficulties to overcome and find what works best for you, but it's important to learn from them and not become discouraged.

My Long Term Goals

To do pediatric endocrinology specializing in diabetes.
