Note: California State University Sacramento interprets “where English was the principal language of instruction” to mean that a school is located in a country where English is the native language (the daily medium of communication of the majority of residents is English), and that the students receive academic instruction in all subjects (except foreign language courses) at all levels of education in English.

The institution code required when requesting score reports from ETS is 4671.

No decision will be made on your application for admission until your official report on the TOEFL exam is received.

Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) Graduate students should contact the graduate department to determine if GRE or GMAT is required. For example: the College of Business does require the GMAT test.

Scholastic Achievement Test (SAT) or the American Collegiate Test (ACT) Undergraduate students should submit photo copies of the official score report if they have taken the exam. The exam is not required; however, scores may be used to exempt students from the university Placement tests if admitted.

PLACEMENT TESTS
The CSU requires new undergraduate students to be tested in English (English Placement Test-EPT) and Mathematics (Entry Level Mathematics Test-ELM) prior to enrollment. These are not admission tests but determine eligibility to enroll in specific courses. Students may be exempt for EPT and ELM based on prior coursework or their SAT/ACT results. The International Admissions Office will notify you if you are required to take the tests.
