F-1 International Student Employment Options in the U.S Workshop Description

Dear International Students:

Every fall semester the International Programs and Global Engagement office presents an informational workshop introducing a variety of issues related to F-1 international student employment and training in the US. Students graduating in the fall of 2013 and spring of 2014 may be particularly interested in attending this workshop.

**Advanced Registration is Required**

If you wish to attend, please register IN PERSON at the front desk of the International Programs and Global Engagement office (no calls or emails). This workshop is limited to 50 students and we wish to keep the registration process fair for everyone.

We will be discussing the following topics:

  • Employment Options: On campus, Curricular Practical Training (internships/coops) and Optional Practical Training
  • The "American Workplace": Cultural differences in work environments between the US and other countries
  • University employment resources
  • Tips for a successful job search in the US
