This senior seminar in recent scholarship and current issues concerning Asia explores water through perspectives as diverse as art, philosophy, economics, language and identity.

Lecutues given by faculty from departments across the University include topics such as "Ripples in the Water: Women's Stories from India”, "Art of Calligraphy – Celebrating Water", "Water and Global Economics, "Water in fashion", and "Hydro Power: Water Politics Across Contemporary Asia".

The Asian Studies program has graciously offered to open these lectures to the campus community. To see the full schedule of lectures, visit the ASIA 198 web site at http://www.csus.edu/asia/ASIA%20198.html
