The One World Initiative's inaugural year features the campus-wide theme "Global Perspectives on Water."

The Sacramento State Aquatic Center is a regional boating instruction safety center as part of a program funded by the California Department of Boating and Waterways.

The theme of water is multidiciplinary: It emerges in science, literature and arts courses and programs across campus.

Students interact with community partners through internships and other hands-on learning opportunities to help bring real-world solutions to the Sacramento region.
