A Message from the President
Hello Prospective and Returning Members!
My name is Laura A. Lopez, and I am honored to serve as the President of Accounting Society at California State University, Sacramento for the spring semester of 2013. We have been working very hard to prepare for another rewarding semester.
Each semester we strive to further develop our relationships with our members. We reach out to other prospective organizations that wish to interface with many of the most highly motivated students at CSU Sacramento and other neighboring colleges and universities. We work hard to provide many opportunities not only for you, our members, but for professionals from organizations to get to know you as well.
We will be hosting events this semester similar to events from past semesters. There will be a total of seven general meetings, four social events, and two mixers. Other weekly activities will include office tours, community service events, and our end of the semester banquet in which we will be presenting awards and the incoming board members for the fall 2013 semester. We are also very proud to work alongside Beta Alpha Psi to assist in Meet the Firms, a recruiting style event that includes over 20 participating organizations. With so many events, we hope to help you achieve a higher level of professional excellence.
In addition to planning our events and activities for the semester, the Executive Board would like to encourage you to be part of another successful semester. Thank you, and we hope that you will be a join us for our spring 2013 semester!
