This is an opportunity for candidates to meet one another and BAP leadership, and gain more detailed information about BAP. We hope that all of the membership will join us in getting to know the candidates in this fun filled afternoon of important information.

Candidates are required to attend only one session. Members are encouraged to attend. Both sessions will cover the same material. A light lunch will be provided, so please RSVP at a technical meeting as to which session you will be attending. This will assist us in planning.

Mock Interviews

Date: Saturday, March 14, 2009

This is a unique opportunity for Beta Alpha Psi members and candidates to pre-interview with employers before recruiting season officially starts. Brush up your resume and your interview skills, and receive feedback directly from the professional(s) with whom you interview. You can select the firm(s) you interview with, on a first-come first-serve basis after submitting your BAP membership registration materials. Mock Interview evaluations will be given to participants at technical meetings following the event. Those participants unable to pick up their evaluations at a technical meeting will receive their evaluations by email within approximately 3 weeks.

AS & BAP Flag Football

Come join our 1st flag football game with the Accounting Society! Other mixed activities will be available for a fun social with Accounting Society members. Please note that this event does not count towards any BAP requirements.

Becker CPA Sample Review Course

Date: April 29, 2009

Instructor: Truman Rishard

Instructor Information/Background: Sacramento area resident since 1985. BS, University of San Francisco, 1972; Certified Public Accountant, 1976; MBA, Golden Gate University, 1978; Former experience as President and CEO, Chief Financial Officer, Partner with CPA Firm, and Fortune 500 company manager. Current experience as Chairman of the Loan Review Committee and Member of the Board of Directors for California Capital, Member of the Board of Directors for the Sacramento Choral Society and Orchestra, Instructor for the Becker CPA Review Course, and Professor of Accounting at Sacramento City College.
