Graduation Ceremony

The goal of the Chicana/o & Latina/o Graduation & Recognition Ceremony Association is to host its 25th annual commencement ceremony in the ballroom at CSUS on Sunday, May 27, 2007. The ceremony will recognize members of the Association for their contributions to the Association honor all graduating Latino students, honor all graduating Latino students with outstanding academic performance.

The objective of the Association lies in the belief that for Latinos to compete in an equitable and productive society requires an well-educated Latino population. Hence, the annual ceremony means for Latinos to inspire and motivate their siblings and friends into seeking higher education. The ceremony provides Latinos of all ages a friendly and familial atmosphere that encourages children and high school students to aspire towards higher education.

This Association seeks to strengthen the diversity of the CSUS campus by installing a thirst for higher education in Latinos and inspiring Latinos of all ages to pursue higher education.

Pre-college students attending the ceremony are encouraged to sign a resolution in which they pledge to themselves that they will seek and complete higher education.

As we celebrate our 27th commencement ceremony, the Association takes pride in its accomplishments and its lasting effects.
