The animals under our care are used in many different ways, including teaching, classroom enrichment, outreach activities and research.
Here, students in Bio 5 are able to study the living specimen (frog)
along with preserved frogs and skeletal preparations.
Here is a close up of one of our terraria. The study of
frogs is greatly enhanced by providing the students with living specimens.
Professor Kantz lectures about corn snakes using one of
our resident snow phase cornsnakes (Elaphe guttata).
