This hairless rat just loves his sleeping bag. |

These are both Madagascar hissing cockroaches. The white one is not an albino, it is what a cockroach looks like just after it molts. It will take several hours to harden, and in the process it will darken to its normal brown coloration. |

While not part of our living collection, these diatoms make a spectacular display. These unicellular algae have a cell wall made of silica giving them rainbow-like colors when seen in a light microscope. |
