 The Brothers of The Delta Chi Fraternity, Sacramento State chapter, warmly welcome all gentlemen who are considering rushing a fraternity.  We sincerely hope that you will find a fraternity that suits you and your needs and assists in your personal growth, as well as satisfying your college career.

    Our founding fathers created the great experience of Delta Chi over 100 years ago.  On October 13, 1890, eleven men set forth to organize a new fraternity.  Originally for law students, Delta Chi quickly expanded to a general social fraternity with over 100 dynamic chapters in the United States and Canada.  Delta Chi officially abolished hazing and Hell Week in 1929 before any other fraternity took the initiative.

    Delta Chi holds many positions of leadership in school organizations and IFC.  In addition, we help strengthen the community through voluntary involvement in service projects and fundraisers for local charities.

    Although it is mostly a social organization, Delta Chi knows that the Purpose of higher education is to prepare the individual for the professional world.  This is why Delta Chi places such emphasis on personal and academic achievement through shared experiences with the brothers of the fraternity.  Delta Chi firmly believes in personal growth through brotherhood and offers the student the opportunity to become involved and to develop goals and programs designed to accomplish these goals.  Delta Chi teaches the benefits of group interaction, working in cooperation with others and developing and promoting high ideals.

    Since 1890, Delta Chi has existed to create men out of boys, order out of chaos, and unity of purpose out of diversity of backgrounds-but not at the expense of individuality.  While encouraging diversity and growth, brotherhood and unity are still achieved.  Academic and social needs alone form a basis for friendship, but Delta Chi's most valuable resource is the individual who, together with fellow brothers, gains the most from his college years

    Delta Chi emphasizes educational goals along with partying.  Our social calendar is as diverse as the brothers in our chapter.  We have scheduled various mixers with sororities, parties, fundraisers, community service projects and various other events for the upcoming semester.

    The Brothers of Delta Chi cordially invite you to attend all rush events and hope that Delta Chi will become your brotherhood of a lifetime.  As fellow brother William Jennings Bryan once stated, "Destiny is not a matter of chance, it's a matter of choice"
