How to Submit an Article

This page explains how to submit an article for the Articles, News, and Mystery Photo sections of SilverLink and the Silver Bulletin. The editor will choose in which section of SilverLink or the Bulletin to publish your article, but you may request a specific placement if you choose. All editing rights are reserved.

How do I submit an article?

It is preferred that you submit articles and photos as attachments to email. You can send your article as a Microsoft Word, Rich Text, or PDF file. You can send photos as a JPG, GIF, or PDF file. You should give your full name, state whether you are retired faculty or staff, and identify the department with which you were affiliated at CSUS. If you have questions, you can email Hortense Simmons at:

hortense@csus.edu

What may the article be about?

Almost Anything. Articles for the Silver Bulletin should be focused toward retirement activities and should not exceed 500 words. Members may submit articles for the SilverLink website that give their perspective on a variety of topics, including world events, politics, literature, society, music, art, science and technology and should not exceed 1000 words. The article may come as the result of travel, academic study, the perusal of professional journals, the morning paper or a discussion with your grand child. In general, you choose the topic and style, and the editor will place it where it fits best.

Anything Else?

If you have difficulty sending photos as an attachment to email, you may mail them to

Colleen Shaw
632 Courthouse Circle
Lititz, PA 17543

Photos will be returned if you include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
