What program(s) or event(s) does your organization at Sacramento State coordinate to support the community service, philanthropy, or cause mentioned above? Sacramento Tree Foundation, Loaves and Fishes, Habitat for Humanity’s, and Blood Source. Since we are a growing fraternity, we are starting to network with our local community to find ways were we can help. Ultimately, we would like to collaborate with a charity where we can host very successful philanthropy. Many of our fraternity members have a strong sense of service and giving back to the community and make it their life goal to be a philanthropist.

Does your organization have a bylaw or statement regarding hazing? Section I. We, the brothers of Omega Phi Zeta, under the purpose of the fraternity (Article II, Section II) are a non-hazing fraternity. All activities supported by the organization shall support brotherhood, leadership, academic excellences, and diversity. Section II. Hazing “any act which the individual feels does not promote brotherhood, leadership, academic excellence, and diversity and or is detrimental either physically or psychologically. Key Terms ? Act “ any activity promoted by Omega Phi Zeta, or its members ? Brotherhood “ a fraternal bond which instills greater values, citizenship, sense of self, friendship, and which causes brothers to contribute to the community ? Leadership “ a desire to better the organization and the community ? Academic Excellence “ a greater commitment to the organization academic success ? Diversity “ sensitivity to difference culture and backgrounds ? Detrimental “ anything which causes harm or takes away from fraternal bonds ? Psychological “ anything the individual feels hinders the desire to be a part of the organization, or makes the individual feel uncomfortable. Section III If any brother or prospective member feels a violation has been made, it’s shall be referred to the Leadership Council as in outline under Article VI.
