- ITE invites guest speakers who are invited to share their views on current issues and events impacting transportation engineering and planning.
- Student-specific workshops are organized to promote student professionalism and marketability, such as the resume workshop.
- Job opportunities are often available through ITE, as local companies and public agencies often contact us with local job opportunities. (Note to employers: We are happy to announce employment opportunities. Send any announcements to ite@csus.edu.)
- Social activities are also organized by ITE, such as attending a football game, playing basketball, or having a beer at a local pub.
- ITE provides many networking opportunities to meet transportation professionals and get acquainted with colleagues in the field. In particular, we work with the Northern California ITE Section to encourage student-professional interaction and communication.
- CA$H: ITE provides many scholarships and award opportunities.
- Community service opportunities are also available through ITE as members are exposed to various local charities in the community, such as the ASI SafeRides Program.
- Membership Recognition: ITE is an internationally recognized and respected organization in the transportation industry, and it is something that looks great on a resume!
