"A simple box with a few forms cut out from the surface and set with stones. The designs that decorate the box are inspired by runes, glyphs, and other archaic forms of symbolic representation, often seen on Egyptian arts and Gaelic body tattooing. Each symbol on the box represents a particular known object from our world, and within those objects further connotations develop in our minds; often the meaning you draw from any symbol could be completely different than a neighbor's interpretation. As such you are allowed to take your own journey through visualization, and invited to peer through the box and match a symbol from one side inline with the silhouette of the symbol on the other. The pyrite cabochons serve not only to help draw interest to the piece, but also to mark the centers of each cut object in the metal."
