"Since I have been part of the retail jewelry business I have come to find that gems and precious stones hold the throat of design. Fine metal work is past over for diamonds and sapphires bleeding the thought that the sole purpose of the metal is to house the stones. Along with this, the idea that metal alone cannot achieve the sophistication and status that stones represent in the retail world. In retaliation to these thoughts I designed a silver ring that places more emphasis of design, replacing the places normally held for stones with negative space. More or less a way of saying that there are no settings for the narrow-minded views of conventional retail."
