"The earrings that I am submitting for the show are a series [of] three. I wanted to design and finish a piece that pushed the idea of what men are supposed to wear as earrings. I wanted a piece that would get people to really look at the male earring as they do women's earrings. Male earrings have become boring and no one pays them any attention. These get attention; whether its good or bad I'm not one to say. I also was influenced by the "skinny", "tight", mod-punk look of Scotland and Britain."
