Fall 2009

Seminars are held on and off-campus with a majority of them scheduled on Friday. Seminar topics are selected by members and discussed in group sessions. Each member is expected to lead and participate in group discussions. Some presenters work in teams to research and present a given topic. There are various types of seminars offered on different days and in different locations. Please select from the list below. You can also view our page of dates to remember.

The Renaissance Style and Philosophy

Once in awhile, it seems important to remind our members, veterans as well as newcomers, what we are as an organization, what you can expect of us, and what we in turn expect of you.  Volunteers meet or plan or lead everything involving the seminars on- and off-campus, the excursions, as well as the meals or other social activities. As a society, we encourage different ideas, along with the customary, and we most certainly will support and help when asked. Obviously, Renaissance needs you to participate in seminars and activities, to give presentations when asked and to act as coordinators and helpers and leaders.  By doing so, Renaissance will gain, but you as a person, by contributing, will experience a sense of confidence and achievement.
