About
S.A.L.S.
Student Association for Laboratory Scientist (S.A.L.S.) is a club
(now a student chapter of the National Association of Microbiology)
for CSU, Sacramento students who wish to pursue a career in a
laboratory setting as a microbiologist, molecular biologist,
biochemist, or any other applicable laboratory science discipline.
S.A.L.S. and its guest speakers provide information on graduate
school programs, job offerings, internships, resume writing,
interview skills, as well as both general and specific information
about different fields of study and employment. Its main goal is to
prepare its members for their continuing education and their
employment search in the laboratory fields. S.A.L.S. also gives back
to the community by participating in events such as River City Days
and Science Olympiad.
When does S.A.L.S. meet? Are there dues?
Meetings are held in SQU 105, every other week. The next meeting will be on October 14 at 5pm.
Dues are $5 a semester. We have great events planned. See our
upcoming events link. Also visit the tentative schedule for guest
speakers at http://www.csus.edu/org/sals/guests.htm
