Community Service

Sigma Omega Nu volunteers with the Morals Value Program (MVP), which is a non-profit organization that helps promote high morals, values, and education to underprivileged children. The MVP program provides an after school pick-up service, tutoring, meals, activities and games, even a place to stay for the children of parents who work throughout the night. Sigma Omega Nu volunteers at the MVP house in a variety of ways, mainly the sisters of Sigma Omega Nu help out with the tutoring of the children after school. For the past years Sigma Omega Nu has also worked hard with the MVP house in order to promote culture and tradition in events such as the "Cinco de Mayo" celebration, also Sigma Omega Nu proudly carries out toy and clothing drives during the holidays for the benefit of the children of the MVP house. MVP has become a main focus for Sigma Omega Nu’s community service outreach program at Sac State

Sigma Omega Nu also participates in the annual Cesar Chavez Community Service Day on March 31st hosted by ASI.
