Chair of the Department of Communication Studies
Background and expertise:
Prof. Nicholas Burnett has a B.A. and M.A. from the University of
Massachusetts--Amherst and a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.
His main areas of specialization are rhetorical and television criticism and
issues related to First Amendment. His research interests include
conspiracy theory as an argumentative phenomenon and the
denial of the Holocaust and 9/11.

Tracy Harrison, Club Mentor |
Background and expertise:
Tracy Harrison is the resource manager for the Division of External Affairs. After three years with the Department of Real Estate, she recently returned to Caltrans. She entered civil service in April 2001 with the Caltrans Division of Accounting.
Tracy graduated from Taylor University (Upland, Indiana) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. She is very active in Toastmasters International, the leading international organization for the development of public speaking and leadership skills.
Away from work, Tracy and her husband attend sporting events and musical theater productions. Tracy also enjoys hiking, photography and skiing. |

Background and expertise:
Robin Mason is the Environmental Compliance Manger for Tetra Tech at McClellan Park. Robin relocated to Sacramento from Saint Louis, Missouri, where we worked Merck & co/Bristol-Myers Squibb for 12 years. Robin is also an Air Force Veteran and worked in base closures prior to coming to Sacramento, where worked at McClellan prior to its closure and has since been working at the same location. Robin has attended Fontbonne University (Saint Louis, MO) and is continuing his studies in Environmental Science and E-Commerce at Sac State. He is very active, since 1992, in Toastmasters International, the leading international organization for the development of public speaking and leadership skills. Away from work, Robin attends sporting events and musical theater productions and enjoys hiking, bicycling, community work and lots of other. |
