Dean Sanjay Varshney’s “Business of Business” commentary offers a brief look inside the world’s financial issues, and is presented as a public service by Sacramento State’s College of Business Administration and the University’s Public Affairs Office.

Dr. Varshney is the dean of the College of Business Administration. He has also worked at the University of San Francisco and previously served as the dean of the Business School at State University of New York in Utica. He earned an undergraduate degree in Accounting and Financial Management from Bombay University, a master's degree in Economics from the University of Cincinnati and a doctorate in Finance from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

He and Chartered Financial Analyst Jason Bell launched the area’s new independent business forecast publication, Sacramento Business Review, which focuses specifically on the economy of the Sacramento region: www.cba.csus.edu/IBRC/index.html.
