Who we are
Sacramento State's News Services office provides a wide range of coverage and promotions for the University through traditional media outlets such as newspapers and radio and television, along with multi-media presentations on its website. The office also assists University departments with special projects for presentations.
What we do
Sacramento State's News Services is responsible for:
- Responding to media inquiries about the University.
- Arranging interviews with professors who are experts on local, state and national issues.
- Writing news releases and articles for various campus publications such as the Sacramento State Bulletin (the online weekly campus newsletter), Sac State Magazine and the Sacramento State News web page.
- Producing multi-media presentations such as videos and slideshows showcasing the strengths of the University community.
- Assist with the production of KVIE “Focus” spots highlighting University programs.
How we can help you
The news services office publicizes campus activities using a variety of on-campus resources and by seeking media coverage. We depend on the campus community to submit information to us about projects, studies, events and accomplishments. We want to hear from you! There are four ways to get us that information:
