[ music ] [ singing: some folks think that convent as the place that we pray. We’re dedicated people, but we like to have our fun. We’re here tonight to share with you the humor of the nuns. ] >> It’s about a group of nuns that have or having a fundraising show. The nuns’ convent chef has made a bad batch of vicious swaw soup. And, the nuns ate it the soup and 52 nuns drop dead of bauchalism . So, the plot of the show is how do we bury the nuns. We had enough money to bury four and how do we bury the other forty-eight. [ singing: nunsense is habit forming that’s what people say. We’re here to prove that nuns are fun perhaps a bit risqué. ] I saw in Ney York years ago and having gone to Catholic school till eight grade. I just enjoyed it. It’s a very thrilling musical. [ singing ] >> I play mother superior. Sister if you will. She’s trying to lead these young ladies through their, you know, religious life and along the way there are a few bumps and things like that. She’s trying to be stick but really at heart she’s fun and she likes having fun. And, I’m your average mother sister Mary Regina. Throughout this show there’s a whole thing where they are putting on a show. So, it’s nuns putting on a show. So, she’s trying to steal the spotlight all the time and everyone else is trying to steal the spotlight. So, it’s funny to watch everyone interact. [ sisters clapping ] There is sister Mary Amnesia, who doesn’t know her real name because a crucifix fell on her head. Look Amnesia it’s an angel. Oh my goodness. Look all clean. >> The second week of our run is men playing the role of the nuns called Nunsense Amen. [ singing: a crucifix fell on her head, her memories gone, water drained ] The songs are humorous, the scenes are humorous. Pokes a lot of good fun at catholic and catholism and growing up with structure versus no structure. [ singing: She just get kisses Nuns just go on with the show ]
