Instructional Student Assistant (ISA ) II $11.09 per hour
or ISA III $13.87 Depending upon class level.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum 2.50 GPA or above undergraduate/ 3.0 GPA graduate student
  • Must have knowledge and experience in tutoring in the discipline area
  • Ability to work with students in both an individual and a group format
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in working with students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of faculty coordinators at PARC, the Teaching Assistant (ISA) will be responsible for the following:

  • Preparing a tutorial plan
  • Teaching study skills and reinforcing successful study habits
  • Consulting monthly with faculty coordinators
  • Completing a monthly report regarding tutoring sessions
  • Attending pre-semester training session and end-of-semester meeting

Special Requirements

  • Must be able to attend all required meetings.
  • Must be able to return emails in a timely manner.
