Workshops & Individual Tutorials (WIT)
WHAT is WIT?
WIT is a free tutoring service (group and individual tutorials) open to all students on campus. The tutorials are taught by trained tutors who are familiar with materials in historically difficult courses.
WHEN is WIT?
Students can meet with WIT tutors in PARC during office hours (8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. M-F). During PARC off-hours, students can discuss course materials with WIT tutors via Skype.
WHY is there WIT?
In addition to helping students learn large amounts of materials in the challenging courses, WIT can help students with time management, study skills, class assignments and preparation for exams.
How does WIT work?
Students are invited to sign up for WIT at the Peer and Academic Resource Center (PARC) in LSN-2200. There are two ways to register:
- Students may come to PARC on a walk-in basis to get help during WIT tutors’ regular office hours held in PARC.
- If students are not available during WIT tutors’ office hours, they can fill out the WIT sign-up form at the front desk of PARC. The PARC administrative coordinator will contact a suitable tutor to schedule a time and place to meet.
