Reporting a Problem or Service Call
If your digital copier is experiencing a problem, please click here http://webapps2.csus.edu/atg/ATGphotocopy.aspx or call the Copier Hotline at x8-5400.
When placing a call you will need the following information:
Machine Number (located on the top of the machine)
Building and floor machine is located
Brief description of the problem
Your name and extension (in case we need more information and to let you know when the problem has been corrected)
We have tried to make placing a supply or service call on the Copier Hotline as easy as possible. The machine number is the large three digit number usually found on the top of the document feeder. If you are not sure of all of the information, or are not sure if someone else may have already placed a service call, please call us anyways.
Call for Service
If the display of the digital copier is showing ‘Call for Service’, please note what is displayed just below the ‘Call for Service’ request. Usually, this will be the letter ‘C’ (for Code) followed by three or four numbers. When placing the service request, please be sure to give us this information as it will help speed up your repair. Once the code number has been noted, it can usually be reset by opening and closing the front door. This should allow the machine to continue working, but will drop the component that is experiencing the problem off line until the technician can arrive.
Time for Maintenance
The ‘Time for Maintenance’ request is actually just a counter. Every so often, there are parts that need to be replaced before they effect the image quality or reliability of the digital copier. The ‘Time for Maintenance’ display is just to alert you that these parts will be in need of replacement soon. The digital copier will continue to operate normally, but a service call still needs to be reported so we can schedule the required maintenance.
