Community Service Officers

The Community Service Officer section of the University Police Department perform a wide variety of duties in support of the mission of the department.

The duties can range from speaking to incoming freshman about “crime prevention,” conducting resident hall security, or patrolling the CSUS campus for security violations and hazards.

Regardless of the assignment, however, CSO’s are always present as resources for the community and act as “eyes and ears” for the University Police Department.
