Performance Indicators

A set of 6-10 key performance indicators (KPIs) has been identified for each Strategic Plan theme. The KPIs are intended as general, long-term tracking indicators of the University’s performance in each particular strategic theme. They provide a summary gauge of how well the University is doing and can serve as “red flags” if there are any problem areas. Data for the indicators are updated every year and are compared to a set of standards for the purposes of evaluation. External standards are available whenever the KPI is from a standardized or systemwide survey and in some other instances (e.g. systemwide data, demographic data). Internal standards are available for every KPI because we always compare the current value of the KPI to the previous measurement period as a means of identifying trends and tracking progress.
