Student Accomplishments
Specific student achievements are recognized with three awards. The first is the Academic Achievement Award, which is given to a student in recognition of academic achievements as well as significant anthropologically-related contributions beyond the classroom. The second is the Richard H. Reeve Award in memory of the founder of our department, which is given to student[s] in recognition of their achievements and to assist and encourage their further interest in the discipline. The third award is the John W. Connor Scholarship, established by the wife of our recently retired colleague. This award is in recognition of having achieved the highest cumulative GPA above 3.5 among graduating majors. All three awards are accompanied by a certificate, the engraving of the recipients’ names on plaques in the department office, and monetary awards. We are delighted with the success of our students.
