Co-presented a discussion group on Preparing Physical Educators to Improve the Health and Fitness Levels of Overweight School Children designed to investigate the inclusion of topics related to physically educating overweight children in teacher preparation programs in the Western region.
2001 Cal Poly Physical Education Workshop. Presenting a master class to physical educators entitled “ Stretching for Strength: Strength Training Without Weights ” – a teaching unit on the use elastic resistance for muscular development. Presenting a lecture to physical educators entitled “Eating Strategies for Active People ” – a practical guide on nutritional concepts and curriculum development, incorporating dietary recommendations into physical education classes.
200 Cal Poly Physical Education Workshop. Presented a master class to physical educators entitled “ Aqua Games and Activities ” - a teaching unit on exercise in the water.
