If I could suggest one thing to improve the program at CSUS would be:

More training regarding traumatic brain injuries.

Several excellent speech pathology majors have not been admitted to the master credential program due to lace of space. With all the shortages, I do not understand why CSUS is not responsive to increasing the program.

Information on the role of the speech pathologist and integrations into a public school setting.

More clinical placement hours: 1 full time semester for outside clinic- less placements and more hours at each placement.

Please enroll more graduate students and make the program larger. Many seeking, gad studies are seeking out other universities due to lack of openings at CSUS.

More practical experiences in the schools before the internships

Teach them to write reports like the therapists in the real world do. Short, concise, on the spot, no drafts.

Continue to work on assessments for the English Language Learner.

Receiving input from our LSHS/Language, Speech and Hearing Specialist, I am informed that there are not enough speech pathologists being graduated from the Masters' Program from CSUS; more candidates need to be accepted into the graduate sessions.

Add more training in working with interpreters/translators and dealing with non-English speaking students.

I've been very happy with CSUS grads over the years. Keep up the good work.

None - Very good program.

Close supervision/collaboration on lesson planning for different types of therapy. To be able to fit and modify hearing aids upon receiving degrees.

Learn to communicate more with teaching staff regarding scheduling and therapy progress.

Implement a speech assistant program.

More focus on cognitive deficits such as executive function attention, etc.

Don't know.

None- I have had good experiences with CSUS students.

Training in bilingual.

Teach counseling- which is not the same as giving information - supportive listening. Shift from solely diagnostic to include rehabilitative emphasis.

Develop and implement AuD. program.

More exposure to group therapy and behavior intervention strategies.
