Alumnus Scott Anderson's own words...

Since 2003 I have served as Executive Director of the Wisconsin Council of Churches, which carries out a program of legislative advocacy and continuing education for its 16 member Christian denominations.

I entered the MPPA program in 1990 after leaving the Presbyterian ministry in the Sacramento area because of my sexual orientation. Due to recent policy changes in the Presbyterian Church (USA), in 2011 I was re-ordained as the first openly gay minister in the PCUSA.

Prior to moving to Wisconsin, I served for 12 years on staff (the last six as Executive Director) of the California Council of Churches, based in Sacramento.

My partner of 22 years Ian MacAllister and I live in Madison with our two canine children.
