Admissions Statistics

Master of Public Policy and Administration admissions averages: graduate record exam scores and grade point averages by entering class year.

Graduate record exam (aka GRE) scores are valid for five years.
GRE scoring scales have been changed by the testing service twice since we started keeping track of averages. In 2003 analytical writing scores went from an 800 point to a 5 point scale. In 2012 the verbal and quantitative scores went from an 800 point to a 200 point scale.

Grade point averages (aka GPA) listed here are calculated on a 4.0 scale and are cumulative. When necessary, some of our applicants are evaluated based on the grade point average of the last 60 units of coursework.
