Collaborative Governance Certificate

Eligibility
To be eligible, individuals must be currently matriculated MPPA or MS/ULD students and have successfully completed PPA 200 and PPA 210 .
Open University students are not eligible.
Requirements
Current PPA and MS/ULD students can earn the Certificate in Collaborative Governance by:
- successful completion of prerequisites:
PPA 200 and PPA 210 - successful completion of certificate classes:
PPA 270 and PPA 272 - submission of required forms:
Academic Certificate Course Verification and Application for Academic Certificate.
Certificate Overview
In close collaboration with Sacramento State’s Center for Collaborative Policy, the Department of Public Policy and Administration has developed a graduate certificate in the emerging field of collaborative governance.
The department offers two courses in this area:
PPA 270: Introduction to Collaborative Policy Making , and
PPA 272, Advance Practice in Collaborative Policy.
PPA students who successfully complete both of the above courses will be eligible for the Certificate. The PPA 270 and PPA 272 courses can also be used to fulfill MPPA program or MS/ULD program elective requirements.
Certificate Completion
The University requires two forms, the Academic Certificate Course Verification and Application for Academic Certificate (with $10 fee), to determine completion of the certificate. These forms are available from Graduate Studies, 916-278-6470.
