Information for Prospective Students

Fall Deadline

Priority application period for Fall is October 1 - December 1.
We continue to accept applications through March 1.

We only have Fall admissions. Why?

Due to course sequencing and other practical considerations, we cannot admit students in the spring.

Feel free to contact us at ppa-01@csus.edu or 916-278-6557 with questions.

Prospective Student Listserv

Prospective students can stay in the loop by joining our Prospective Student Listserv. The messages we will send you include application deadlines, information and recruitment sessions, and Department social events (for networking!). You can sign yourself up and manage your own subscription.

International Admissions (more information)

Applicants who are required to hold F-1 or J-1 Visas to study in the United States should visit the International Admissions office. University admission requirements for international students are rather complex and the staff at International Admissions will ensure that you have the most accurate and current information.

Consistent with University requirements, the Department requires that students whose native language is not English have a minimum TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of: 560 (paper based test), 220 (computer based test), or 83 (internet based test).
