Everyone must take 9 units of UPPER DIVISION GE, which may overlap with requirements above.
* Writing intensive course (must take at least one)
+ Race and Ethnicity course (must take at least one)
Notes:
- Students who satisfy the History D3 requirement at another institution must take a course to satisfy the race and ethnicity requirement. There are many R+E courses available - for example, a student could take HRS 161 (Multicultural America) in Area C3 instead of PHIL 2 or PHIL 6.
- Because Area E has excellent upper division courses for pre-health students, they are advised against taking the Freshman Seminar courses that fulfill this area.
