Staff Employee Recognition

I am pleased to announce the names of the recipients for the Staff Employee Recognition Program: Lori Wisheropp, Web Marketing Coordinator, Marketing Services, University Enterprises, Inc.; Carl Oakes, University Network Support, Information Resources & Technology; Julie Carroll, Financial Advisor, Student Financial Services Center.

President Alexander Gonzalez and Lori Wisheropp Lori Wisheropp is the Web Marketing Coordinator, Marketing Services for UEI. Lori’s nominator described her as “being greatly respected throughout the campus for her willingness to help others and her excellent customer service skills.” Her colleagues wrote about her “contribution to the success of the USA team which enhances the quality of life in our campus community.”

President Alexander Gonzalez and Carl Oakes Carl Oakes is an Operating Systems Analyst Expert who provides University Network Support for Information Resources & Technology. Carl’s nominator mentioned that “his talents have been noted by the Chancellor’s Office, providing leadership on technology projects that benefit the entire CSU, as well as our campus.” He was described as “a strong positive force in group morale and one who readily provides assistance and support to his colleagues.”

President Alexander Gonzalez and Julie Carroll Julie Carroll is a Financial Advisor for the Student Financial Services Center. Her nominator indicated that “she communicated with employees in a confident, compassionate, and professional manner.” She was described as “an exceptional employee who performs difficult tasks with enthusiasm and professionalism.”

My thanks to everyone who sent in nominations. We have completed the 2006/07 academic year for this program and have received many deserving recommendations, and we are now starting a new academic year for the Staff Employee Recognition Program. We have many commendable staff on campus, and I encourage you to nominate anyone you feel is deserving of this award. The deadline for submission of a nomination for the Staff Employee Recognition Award is Friday, November 16, 2007.
