Kelley Ogden is the Administrative Support Coordinator for the Office of Governmental and Civic Affairs. Kelley’s nominator mentioned, “She is a first-rate employee who is unfailingly positive in her tone and demeanor, she is always conducting herself in a mature and professional manner with all individuals.” Kelley plays a key support role in facilitating major campus events with the government. Her colleague describes her as “a problem-solver who seeks to be helpful.”

Debra Ross is an Office Assistant for University Enterprises Inc., Business Services. Debra’s nominator mentioned, “She is constantly dealing with staff as well as the campus community answering all questions with courtesy and professionalism; she is a team player.” Her colleague indicated she has implemented a time saving process concerning the accounting system.

My thanks to everyone who sent in nominations. We will keep all the recommendations as part of the continuing pool of nominees until June 2009, and all nominees are eligible for the award until then. I encourage those of you who are considering nominating an excellent employee to do so. You can help make a deserving staff member feel great about the wonderful job they do for the University. Names of the recipients will be announced in May as the “Employee of the Month.”
