Tina Westerhold is the Athletic Compliance Coordinator for Intercollegiate Athletics. Tina’s nominator described her as “a person of the highest integrity and professionalism, both in her dealings with the student athletes she serves and her colleagues in university administration and the athletics department.” Her colleague also mentioned “Tina’s innovative and creative presentations of NCAA rules to coaches, student athletes, and local high schools ensure athletic preparedness as well as student success.”

Zenia LaPorte is the Programs Advisor for UNIQUE at the University Union. Her nominator mentioned “Zenia demonstrates creativity in building collaborative partnerships with academic departments, campus centers, and student groups.” Zenia’s colleague also indicated “her accomplishments have resulted in great progress to bridge the relationship between academic departments and other divisions.”

My thanks to everyone who submitted recommendations. Nominations are currently being accepted for the 2009/2010 academic year. Names of the next recipients will be announced in February as the “Employee of the Month.”
