Leo Evangelista is the Staff Assistant to the Provost in the Office of Academic Affairs. Leo’s colleague described her as, “Exemplifying the consummate professional.” Her nominator wrote, “Leo’s proactive and problem-solving attitude has an inspiring effect on her staff and consequently Academic Affairs can always be counted on for assistance.”

Veronica Rivera is a Bambini Fellowship Teacher for the Children’s Center. Her nominators mentioned, “Veronica goes well beyond her duties helping students and staff.” Veronica’s colleague also indicated, “She has amazing potential as a leader, woman, and Early Childhood professional.”

My thanks to everyone who submitted recommendations. Nominations are currently being accepted for the 2009/2010 academic year. Names of the next recipients will be announced in October as the “Employee of the Month.”
