UEI Faculty Grants Program – Guidelines for Applications

University Enterprises, Inc. (UEI) is now accepting proposals for the UEI Faculty Grants Program for the current academic year 2009-2010. This year, in the current budget environment, only proposals from Assistant and Associate Professors for faculty professional development activities that will enhance the likelihood of tenure and/or promotion will be considered for funding.

The University Enterprises, Inc. one-time funds are for faculty professional development efforts with preference given to Assistant and Associate Professors who have not received funding during the past two academic years.

Select only one category of funding:

A.  Conference Travel

1.  Primary consideration is for faculty presenting a paper(s).

2.  Secondary consideration is to faculty (i) chairing a session or (ii) attending conferences for professional development.

B.  Professional Development Effort

Funds are available for, but not exclusive to, page charges for professional journals, reprint fees for scholarly publications, collection of critical data and/or research-related activity leading to grant proposal submission for external funding.
