About Procurement & Contract Services

California State University, Sacramento has delegated authority from the Office of the Chancellor to enter into procurement and contractual transactions. It is the responsibility of the staff of Procurement & Contract Services to develop methods and systems to coordinate all procurement activity as well as provide for a smooth flow of documentation and timely delivery of goods and services to campus departments. 

Each requisition is evaluated by the buying staff in Procurement & Contract Services based on the product(s) or service(s) being requested and the price. Purchase orders are mailed directly to vendors whenever the necessary conditions are met.
