About Us
Psychology is the scientific study of human and animal behavior, cognition, and emotion. It is a broad discipline that includes both basic research and the application of research findings to everyday life.
The Psychology Department at California State University, Sacramento offers both undergraduate and graduate degree programs. We offer an undergraduate program in General Psychology, as well as more specific Graduate programs in:
- Counseling Psychology (MFT) Temporarily suspended
- General Psychology (with specific emphasis on Psychology Doctoral Preparation)
- Industrial/Organizational Psychology
- Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
At both the undergraduate and graduate levels, students may choose coursework, fieldwork, and research experiences that allow them to emphasize such areas as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Clinical/Counseling Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Personality, Quantitative Methods, and Social Psychology.
