Name/Description of Program/Service

Group Therapy Program .

PCS has for many years offered various groups to Sac State Students.

Intended Outcome

Further develop the group therapy program. We expect to name a "Group Coordinator" who can manage group development issues (scheduling, advertising). We expect to have 3 successful groups running during the 2005-06 academic year, each with 6-8 participants.

Timeline

Group Coordinator: Fall 2005

Utilization in groups: Fall 2006

Theme Three – Create a Dynamic Physical Campus

Name/Description of program/service

Move PCS from current location to the RWEC. Although this move is in the future, planning is current. This move will put PCS in a more visible setting and will offer clients greater confidentiality as they will no longer have to wait for services in a public area.

Intended Outcome

Increased visibility and increased utilization of psychological services (at least 5% increase).

Measurement

Measure the number of drop-in clients and the number of referrals.

Timeline

Intended move date: Fall 2008

Name/Description of Program/Service

Become certified as a Continuing Education (MCEP) approved site for continuing psychological programs.

Intended Outcome

Apply for and receive certification as a Mandatory Continuing Education for Psychologists (MCEP) approved site so that PCS can offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to PCS staff, university faculty, and community members. As a host for such a course, PCS will be able to raise funds for speakers, build stronger relationships with academic departments and develop a more collegial relationship with providers in the community.

Timeline

Certification: Spring 2006

Offering Workshops: Fall 2007

Name/Description of Program/Service

Become a practicum training program for Alliant International’s advanced graduate students.

Intended Outcome

Increase the number of “therapists-in-training” who can provide direct services to Sac State students.

Timeline

Logistical assessment of practicality of such a program: Fall 2007

Program initiation: Fall 2008
