Individually and Interpersonally Fulfilling: Enhancing Mindfulness and Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills

Mondays February 6 – April 30, 2012 11:00am – 12:30pm Co-led by Mei-Fang Lan, PhD & Rene Reis, MFT Participants learn and practice mindfulness and interpersonal effectiveness skills in a safe, supportive environment to enhance their ability to balance one’s needs versus external demands, cope with interpersonal conflict, engage in effective communication, and develop healthy, fulfilling interpersonal relationships.

Shattering Stereotypes

Tuesdays March 27-May 1, 2012 4:00pm-5:15pm Co-Led by Laili McGrew, LCSW & Kayleigh Lembke, MSW II Intern This group is for women to examine society’s view of females, the messages we receive, and the impact it has on us as women growing up. We will explore issues around self image, our role in relationships, competition with other women and ways to empower change.

It's a Virus not a Judgment: HSV2 for Women

Thursdays February 16 – March 29, 2012 6:00 - 7:30 pm Co-Led by Mick Rogers, LCSW & Kathy Guthrie, MSW Participants will learn how to move on with their romantic lives after their diagnosis with accurate knowledge, improved self esteem and assessing potential partner and communication skills. The group will be a positive place where students can reassess how they are going to integrate their diagnosis with their self esteem and their relationships.

Survivors of Suicide: For Those Left Behind.

Mondays March 5 – May 7, 2012 3:00 - 4:30 pm Co-Led by Mick Rogers, LCSW & Nathan Stuckey, MSW II SOS is a group to connect with other survivors of suicide loss. It is a relief to be able to talk openly about suicide with people who really understand. Often, a crucial part of the healing process is the support and sense of connection felt through sharing their grief and their strategies for moving on with other survivors. This group provides a safe place where survivors can share their experiences and support each other.

Members of the group will gain understanding of the wide variety of emotions that accompany loss and support each other through this often painful life journey.

Lifting Your Mood and Changing Your Thoughts
