Pre-Doctoral Internship
Post-Doc Fellowship

Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program

Please contact Psychological Counseling Services to inquire whether Post doc positions will be available for the following year.

In addition to PCS’s APPIC pre-doctoral internship program, we also OCCASIONALLY accept postdoctoral fellows interested in obtaining training in a college counseling center. Typically, our post-doc fellows are involved in the same training activities as pre-doctoral interns. All trainees participate in training seminars, case conferences, testing seminars, etc. Also, supervision is much the same for all trainees; both pre-doctoral interns and postdoctoral fellows receive 2 hours per week of individual supervision in addition to an hour of testing supervision, and 1 ½-2 hours of group supervision. Finally, postdocs are paid the same salary as predoctoral interns and receive the same benefits as predoctoral interns.

Please refer to the predoctoral internship site for a complete description of the training program.

To apply for a postdoctoral fellowship, please send the following materials:

  • Cover letter
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Postdoc application
  • 3 letters of recommendation
  • Graduate school transcripts

Materials should be sent to:

Sandra Nevis, Ph.D., Training Director
Psychological Counseling Services
California State University, Sacramento
6000 J Street
Sacramento, CA 95819-6045

An application for our postdoctoral fellowship can be found online in PDF format.
We will not be recruiting for a postdoctoral fellow for the 2007-2008 year.
