An Opening
Subject to vertigo, mountains swoon. To break the cold, a page whitens
its raw material thicket ecstatically still. Sheltered in absence, geese
wedge their script in thinnest air a cello scales some stairs. Risen,
a thought falls. Yet an opening remains, trembling, in the same continuous
day of the mountains.
